In House Catering
Waters Edge offers a state of the art kitchen with 2 personal chefs that can accommodate your individual and group requests. We have a general menu and a seasonal menu that meets a variety of tastes and special requests can all be accommodated.

Because we are not a restaurant, our chef plans every 2-3 months a tasting of various select entrees, appetizers, and a salad of his choosing. He pairs these with wines. This gives you a flavor for how he cooks, and seasons his food. See our GM on next tasting available.

Meet Waters Edge Event Center’s Executive Chef, Mark Wilkerson.  His roots are here in Idaho, but his culinary knowledge spans much further beyond our borders.  After working his way up from line cook to Sous Chef in Portland’s Marriott hotel, he continued to refine his skills by attending Western Culinary Institute.  His desire to learn many different cooking styles and precise techniques while working alongside the best people in the business eventually landed him in prestigious hospitality locales such as Oswego Lake Country Club, The Benson and Sun Valley’s Elkhorn Resort.

Chef Mark’s many travels have always been epicurious in nature.  He’s noshed his way through Napa Valley’s wine country, 7 countries along Europe’s Danube River and every corner of Peru relentlessly documenting and collecting information to be used in his own repertoire.  The British Isles, Scandinavia and Japan are next on his list.

He is a member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF)/Idaho Chefs de Cusine and has participated in local events such as Chef’s Affaire, Culinary Walkabout and Fundsy.  Accolades include Gold and Bronze medals from ACF-sanctioned cooking competitions as well as local events such as the Sysco Food Challenge and A Taste of Idaho. He has been featured in Northwest Palate and Eagle magazines as well as the Idaho Statesman and Boise Weekly.

Chef Mark is able to tailor any menu to your specific wants and dietary needs.  Implementing a developed sense of interpretation and an understanding of guests’ expectations while keeping our standards high, we at the Waters Edge Event Center are sure to make your function or special event a day to remember.
